Pre-RequisiteAdvanced course for experienced supervisors/ electricians who are involved in inspection and testing of electrical installations. Ideally candidates who have completed 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations Course.

Course Content

Portable appliance testing and its functions
Methods of assessing test period of a range of appliances
Distinguish between classes of appliances
Use of portable appliance tester, safely and accurately
When and how to perform a ‘flash’ test
Establish and maintain an accurate record of appliances, testing frequencies and a test history
Recognize and know how to overcome a range of problems peculiar to portable appliance testing

Certification City & Guilds 2391 Certificate.
