Reference: OPS251 Location: Libya Organises, supervises and controls the operation of Maintenance Management System and related functions such as shutdown planning. Develops historical databases on all installed equipment and monitors on-going test and inspection information from various sources.
The organisation, disposition and control of manpower, equipment and facilities assigned to the planning group. Responsible for assessing daily routine work schedules for the various maintenance groups and distribution via the Supervisor or Section Leader. Collects and collates all relevant data resulting from routine and non-routine work and updates the appropriate data bases on a daily basis. Has a sound knowledge of company and industry safety standards and good work practices. Applies this knowledge in an appropriate manner. Should have an appropriate background in material selection techniques as applied to the industrial and environmental conditions pertaining to the various company installations. Produces maintenance analyses related to the performance, efficiency, etc, as requested by superior. Plans plant shutdowns as dictated by the various operations groups and provides estimates for material and manpower requirements. Monitors and maintains records relating to certification procedures. Applied to company equipment. Liases with third party inspectors, personnel and advises other field groups in regard to the actions required to maintain company objectives pertaining to certification programs. A sound knowledge of material procurement and warehousing techniques. Prepares material requisitions for supervisor approval, and advises on stock levels when required. Liases with other group leaders concerned with the maintenance, inspection or operation of the company facilities. Works closely with other maintenance planning groups at the various company locations. Coordinates the training of local personnel within the planning group, as may be required from time to time. Constantly reviews the installed maintenance planning systems and advises on modifications or amendments to upgrade or enhance the efficacy of the system. Is responsible for all routine administration duties related to the planning section. Must be aware of proper man management techniques in order to motivate and control a multi national workforce to the company’s advantage. Should have a responsible attitude to the needs and requirements of the company. Required Qualifications and Experience: BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 15 Years experience in petroleum industry construction and maintenance with hydrocarbon processing plants with the emphasis on modem computerised maintenance management systems. Be familiar with API and ASME codes in particular API 31.3 and ASME section VII Div. 1 Be able to do shutdown planning using Microsoft Project. Computer literacy is a necessary requirement. Must be literate and numerate to a high degree and be capable or producing detailed technical reports when required.
