Reference: OPS265 Location: Field based, Libya Must have a recognised qualification such as completion of an apprenticeship, relevant engineering diploma or applicable technician certificate.
· Must have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry. · Previous overseas experience valuable, as well as computer literacy and excellent English language skills. · General broad experience required, including familiarity with recognised industry international codes, standards and practices essential. · Familiarity with: o ASME / ANSI B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8 piping codes. o AP11104 Cross Country Pipelines o ASME IX Welding and Brazing Qualifications · Knowledge and experience of Hydrotest Procedures. Duties: · Report to area engineer or others as delegated. · Become familiar with the general contractual requirements of projects under supervision. · Possess detailed knowledge of the requirements of the relevant codes and standards relating to mechanical construction. · Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning work to ensure that all is in compliance with specifications and manufacturers instructions. · Be able to inspect, check and test the quality of work and interrupt the execution should deviations be found. · Be able to quantify and measure the progress of the work. · Be able to produce daily and weekly activity, manpower and equipment reports. · Ensure safe execution of the work in accordance with permit to work conditions. · Be able to communicate fluently and clearly in English with contractors, site foremen regarding technical matters. · Be able to make recommendations to superiors where improvements in quality or project effectiveness may be made.
